Jerusalem Knitting & Craft

Welcome visitors!

I haven’t been using this blog much, but I do want to set up some placemarker so that people who want to knit and craft in Jerusalem can find us.

Firstly, if you are on Ravelry (and you should be!), you can find us here: Jerusalem Crafters

Secondly, you can just e-mail me. My e-mail address is safranit at gmail.com (I didn’t use the @ sign to prevent a bit of spam)

Thirdly, if you are looking for yarn stores in Jerusalem, you can e-mail me as well.

Cheers!

A large box of patterns has been donated to our group.  I’d like to give them all to good homes.  I’m hoping to bring some to meetings, but I’m also going to put them up on this website to see if anyone wants them.  Please reply by e-mail to safranit-at-gmail.com.

Knit N’ Nosh (SnB) Location

The Jerusalem SnB has relocated due to the closure of Chez Gita. After trying a few possibilities, we have decided on Cup O’ Joe on the corner of Keren Hayesod and Jabotinsky. They were very open to us meeting there, and it looks like there will be enough room. (Also, there was some agreement that they have very good coffee!)

The next meeting will be February 27th from 8-10PM.

In other group notes, there is a second group meeting at 6PM the first Monday of the month in Jerusalem as well as groups meeting in Beer Sheva, Efrat and Tel Aviv as well as a “yarn crawl” that happened on a recent Friday in Haifa. For more information about these groups, post a comment.

Also get yourself a beta account at Ravelry….it is worth it!

Jerusalem Craft meeting with a Theme

The next meeting of the Jerusalem Crafters will be on March 14 from 8-10PM.

As usual we will be meeting at Chez Gita on Havatzelet Street.

The theme of the meeting inspired by our workshop by Laurie will be “kishutim” (decorations)

Adding little stuff to make our projects shine. Bring your small scrap yarn to see what we can do. Some examples will be included. If you have any other patterns feel free to bring them along.
