New home for the Jerusalem SnB

The Jerusalem Knit N Nosh (aka SnB) is making a move to a fall/winter knitting location (we are still exploring other options, so if you have suggestions, let me know). The location for our meeting Wednesday (November 1st) will be at Chez Gita. For location information go to: Chez Gita Location .

Our meeting time is from 8PM-10PM (20:00-22:00)

Please feel free to invite anyone you know…if you don’t know how to knit but want to learn, feel free to come as well…we are all willing teachers. If you don’t have any knitting equipment, just let me know and I’ll bring some spare yarn and needles for you to practice with.

Note: I’d like to try monthly meetings at Chez Gita, and the other meeting at a yarn shop. If anyone has contacts with any of the owners, and would like to talk to them about the possibility of staying open until 10 PM once for us to come and visit, that would be great. Some places could be: Shani Bad, Avodat Ivri, and the place in Geula.

  2. I would enjoy getting to know other knitters in Jerusalem, an afternoon would be much better for me. Anyone else prefer afternoon over evening?

  3. I live in RBS. the times for the meetings are difficult for me b/c of the fact that I am so far and that my husband goes to work at 10:30. my neighbors go to sleep early and babysitters are not allowed out that late. anybody wanna meet in beit shemesh ?

  4. Hi there -

I’m working on a SNB Page-A-Day calendar for 2008 (!), and one thing I’d like to do is profile a different SNB group each week. I’d love to include your group, and was wondering if you might have a moment to write up a brief paragraph about the group (when and why it was started, what kind of space you meet in, how many people come each week, what you talk about, what kinds of projects people are making, and if there is anything in particular that’s interesting/funny/weird/historical about the country/city where you knit.) And then, of course, I’d also love a photo of the group in action - just take a digital photo (high res) and send it my way.

If you are able to do this, please let me know. I’d need your group description by next Wednesday, December 20th, if at all possible, but if you need more time I can do that, too. I’d just love to have a nice variety of groups in the calendar, and I think plenty of SNB’ers would like to know about yours.

    Thanks in advance!
