Knitted Donations

The Jerusaknit Blog has exited for a while, but we haven’t done much. I think it is time for us to give something to the community. I’ve picked a worthy charity, and I’m making a suggestion. If you have the time to knit one more project this January, here is my idea:

The Crossroads Center in Jerusalem is an organization for Anglo at-risk teens. Some of them have received donations recently of new winter coats. I’d like to add to this by making hats/scarves/gloves/mittens to keep them warm this winter. Assume adult sizes (heads don’t change much from about age 4 and up) and generic colors so that we don’t have to worry about too many for boys/girls.

If you have another charity which you would like to support, let me know and we will do them in the future.

  2. Hello, I am Joke Stoffels from the Netherlands. I visit Jerusalem between 21-02-2007 and 07-03-2007. I should like to meet knitters of stitch’n bitch in that time. Please, answer me.
